NRSG418L - Community and Psych Mental Health Nursing

Course Description

This is a six hour laboratory experience encompassing community health and psychiatric mental health settings.  It must be taken concurrently with NRSG 418.  The roles and activities of the nurse will vary depending on the agency and population served.

Course Objectives

Students meet the University of Lynchburg Goals for Education by achieving the course objectives. The course objectives are derived from the Nursing Program Outcomes (PO) and the AACN BSN Essentials (Essential). 

1. Synthesize knowledge from the sciences, the humanities, public health, and nursing practice to make decisions in community and mental health settings.
