Welcome to Fundamentals. This course introduces students to concepts, theories, and standards of nursing practice in today’s evolving health care systems. Students use the nursing process to examine normal developmental changes across the lifespan from childhood to older adult. Critical thinking is examined as a basis for decision-making in nursing and emphasis is placed on developing therapeutic nursing interventions and communication skills.
