In this course, students are introduced to a comprehensive, systematic approach to physical assessment. They use critical thinking to collect and organize health assessment data. In addition, students learn the components of a complete health history, including interviewing and documentation.
Students meet the University of Lynchburg outcomes for Education by achieving the course objectives. The course objectives are derived from the Nursing Program Outcomes (PO), the AACN BSN Essentials (Essential), ANA Standards, and QSEN Competencies.
Students will be able to compare client data to anatomical and physiological norms across the life cycle.
