Creative Communicator

Students develop and employ strategies for understanding and solving problems in ways that leverage the power of technological methods to develop and test solutions.

Standard 6A:

Students choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication.

Organize ideas, design, and produce a multimedia presentation. (6a) - SOCIAL STUDIES

Example:

Students will work with their parents to create a single slide on a collaborative presentation for the entire class concerning a famous character in history. The presentation will be used on parent night and the student will dress like their character for their presentation.

Standard 6B:

Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.

This standard will not be taught towards until 3-4 grade curriculum.

Standard 6C:

Students communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively by creating or using a variety of digital objects such as visualizations, models or simulations.

Standard 6C is met in Innovative Designer standards.

Standard 6D:

Students publish or present content that customizes the message and medium for their intended audiences.

Prepare and present portfolio of created materials. (6d)- VARIOUS SUBJECTS

Example:

Students will gather 5 projects or assignments that they want to present to their parents at the Parent Teachers Conference. Students will gather all materials and the teacher will assist them by placing the artifacts the classroom projector on the day of the meeting.
