2022 Youth Ministry Officers

Secondary School Principals were provided with information about their employment of YMOs in August which included the following point

• CSO funded YMOs will be required to be available to support a nearby primary school up to one day per fortnight. This will be coordinated locally and is already taking place successfully in some regions. 

The supervisor of the YMOs in Secondary Schools who you should contact is generally the Leader of School Evangelisation. We encourage you to make contact to discuss the practicalities of using the YMOs in your school in 2022. The Secondary LOSE are copied into this email to support this process.

2022 CSYMA Junior

Supporting the implementation of this program is a priority for Mission Services in 2022 and should be a focus of YMO involvement in primary schools. 

Information has been provided throughout 2021 and is a regular feature of the weekly CSYMA/CLFN newsletter that each of you should receive via email. 

As a reminder, the focus of this program is on

• A Year 6 Retreat - Journeying with Jesus (the resources and program for this retreat are provided). YMOs could assist with implementation.

• Junior Ministry Team - A group that the YMO could work with at lunchtimes

• Daily Talks with God - Prayer Journal for daily use in Year 6 classrooms

• Greater engagement in the broader Church
