The Face Of God by Mark Raue, sung by Belinda Chinn

In 1996, Mark Raue visited Mary, Mother of the Church, Macquarie Fields, where my family and I led the music ministry, along with my good friend Wayne Rice, and my future son-in-law, Tim Hart. Mark heard our daughter Belinda sing and invited her to be the female voice on this song, which has since become a Catholic Mission anthem.

After we lost Belinda to cancer in 2000 Mark kindly gave us permission to release this on my first album. It's a beautiful song with a powerful message and we are honoured to be able to still hear the voice of Belinda, calling us all to be the Face of God, wherever we are.

My friend Bernard Cumming once commented that so many of my songs were about doing and acting. To be the hands and voice and heart of Christ is our call every day and especially in Mission Month.
