Spiritual Foundations

Jesus is our Foundation--we want to show His love to everyone! He reached out to others, and while we cannot reach out physically right now, we are reaching out virtually. In the age of technology, and now with the added requirements of social distancing, it is our priority and promise to interact and connect with our families and students on a daily basis. First, and foremost, we will lay the foundation for our days in worship and praise! Let us not forget that "God is good! All the time!" Here is our prayer for all of us, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Academic Foundation

As a school, we strive to continue the excellence in the learning journey and experience through this difficult situation. We believe that this can best be accomplished through community, and we seek to interact in the online setting as a means of meeting this goal. Noting the limitations of technology, and the possibly negative impact of excess screen time, we continue to seek balance in spiritual focus, social interaction, and use of technology as these focuses will help us through this challenging time.

Physical Foundation

We acknowledge that keeping physical health in balance with the other focuses of a healthy learning community becomes difficult in this emergency situation. The schedule is designed with frequent breaks, and we pray your family may take advantage of the outdoors during this time. We invite you to follow God's natural laws of health, easily remembered as NEW START--get plenty of good Nutrition, at least an hour of Exercise, and drink plenty of Water, get out in the Sunshine at least 20 mins, be Temperance (getting enough good things and staying away from not-so-health things like sugar, caffeine and sodas), inhale fresh Air (breathing in deep at least 10 times slowly), get enough Rest (7-9hrs), and Trust in God, claiming His promises and knowing He will see us through whatever we may face.

Reminders for Health

  1. We encourage families to create and maintain a schedule. This helps students gain a sense of normalcy and feel secure in knowing what will happen each day.

  2. We encourage families to schedule outdoor time. Fresh air and exercise are two great ways to build up your immune system.

  3. We encourage families to set and abide by a regular bed and wake time. Regular rhythms in sleep help build physical immunity and improve mental outlook.

  4. We encourage families to limit access to news information to what would be developmentally appropriate for the age of the children. Please help your child process the information they have been given, avoiding excessive fear. Remind everyone of God's love and care - and His desire to spend eternity with us!

  5. Please reach out to others when feeling distress. We are a school family! Our faculty are here to help and assist you!

Social Foundation

God has blessed our school with the intervention of technology. During this time, we will utilize technology to encourage interaction and connection between students, teachers, and families. Our goal is to provide two to three intentional periods of social interaction for each student and family per day.
