Shaving cream play is a sensory filled activity. The smell, and the texture lend itself to a great experience. I recommend using this with children who do not have skin sensitivities. Some children like to dive in and get elbow deep in the shaving cream. I provide manipulatives like spoons and cars for children who do not love the texture. Shaving cream is easy to clean up and leaves your house smelling nice. Children can draw pictures, letters or numbers in the cream.
For this activity, ask your little one to cut some flowers using the scissors. After cutting the flowers, freeze them in a container with water to make a sensory play activity.
This acitivity is great for sensory water play and iceplay . children will have so much fun exploring as the ice melts. This activity is also great to talk to children about solid and liquid. how can we melt the ice into water?
