German 1B

The purpose of German 1B is to develop both a basic proficiency in communicating in the German language according to the cultural practices of Germany and an awareness of the history, geography, and cultures of regions where German is spoken: Austria, Switzerland, and neighboring regions. German 1 is a 5-credit course that fulfills the A-G requirement of the UC/CSU Subject Area Requirements. Note, middle school students, taking German 1 will receive A-G credit, however numerical high school will not count towards a high school diploma per California Education Code.
