Steven King Horror & Suspense Literature

Through careful study of the life and works of Stephen King, one can face fear, strengthen close reading skills, and be inspired to write their own horrifying tale. In King: An Analysis of Horror and Suspense Literature, students will be introduced to the mystery, suspense, and horror of King’s finest writing and the tragedy and victory that he experienced in his own life. With allusions to literary classics and current social issues, students will engage themselves in sincere discussions and activities that revolve around life’s challenges and how one can overcome them through the study and engaging projects that fictional struggles inspire. King: An Analysis of Horror and Suspense Literature is a 5-credit course designed for seniors that fulfills the A-G requirement of the UC/CSU Subject Area Requirements.
