We left early and had a long coach ride, but arrived happy at Dr Benyon’s Bug Farm where we got hands on experience of bugs, and learned about the importance of insects as a future food source
Ended the evening with games right next to the ocean view, and a bonfire to warm up before bed.
Day 2 was full on, to take advantage of the beautiful weather! We were up early to head to the beach, and go coasteering or surfing. After lunch we went on a walk down to the coast to learn more about coastal ecology and environmental impacts [that’s the photo of Ian holding seaweed], and we cleared plastics off of a beach
We took in the amazing view over the ocean along our wall back, then it was back on the water again for an incredible evening boat trip around Ramsey Island where we got up close with seals and rare migrating sea birds - our new favourites, the puffinus puffinus
We had a talk from Câr-y-Môr who farm seaweed sustainably
Had our first workshops on creating a sustainable business/ B Corp, with students designing their own ideas.
In the evening, we sorted plastics we'd rescued from the beach.
Treasure hunt in St David’s, the smallest city in the UK.
Then an afternoon of surfing/coasteering.
Finished off with yoga in an absolutely glorious sunny field, to wind down before our final evening
