The overall goal of the project was to be able to understand the architectural scale and how to use it when it comes down to measurements. An architectural scale is almost like a ruler but with different measurements on it depending on the size of the object being sketched. There are different scales like 1 inch equals 2 feet, 1 inch equals 4 feet, 1 inch equals 16 feet and so much more! There are many different ways to scale but for this homecoming project the students of the freshmen STEM class were assigned to create a presentation about what they would like homecoming to look like. Our group decided to do an Under the Sea theme.

Overall this project had to be one of my favorites. The class was able to pick their own groups so obviously I worked with some of my closest friends. We all learned how to scale properly and how to actually use an architectural scale. This was one of our first projects in STEM I so it really led everyone off to a fun and good start to the school year.
