Q. Summarise what you did in this activity/project and how you interacted with others?
A. This was a ten-hour course that ran from July 26th to July 30th. Despite the fact that the entire event was handled via an internet platform, it was still a highly exciting and exhilarating experience. It was difficult to contact with others because it was all done online, but during group activities, I was able to communicate with students from other schools.
Q. Explain what you hoped to accomplish through this activity/project?
A. I acquired a lot of useful phrases and addressing styles. Even though it was all new to me and was taking place on an online platform, I was able to glean essential knowledge and it was an overall fascinating experience. I intended to enhance my debating and public speaking abilities.
Q. How successful were you in achieving your goals? What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome them?
A. My main purpose was to become acquainted with the course and to attempt speaking and debating against individuals about a certain world issue. My objective has unquestionably been met. I have a little stage fear, but even though I was entirely out of my comfort zone, I was able to communicate properly and convey my arguments effectively for the first time without stammering! This is a significant accomplishment for me.
Q. What did you learn about yourself and others through this activity/project?What abilities, attitudes, and values have you developed?
A.This practise assisted me in recognising and conquering my anxiety of public speaking. It was quite beneficial that it was done online. I never felt I had it in me, but this slight shove encouraged me to go on and overcome my fear. I've developed the capacity to speak in public and express myself. This incident taught me to stand up and explain my thoughts clearly and coherently. I've acquired a good attitude about my concerns, and I've realised the importance of what your fear is preventing you from doing.
Q. How did this activity/project benefit others?
A. This experience benefited me rather than others since it provided me with the opportunity to meet new people and find that many of us have same interests.
Q. How can you apply what you have learned in other life situations?
A.This exercise has taught me to take a stance confidently and to appreciate diverse points of view on a given subject. It also taught me to be bold and confident in what I say. I would surely implement what I have learnt in this event whenever scenarios arise, whether it is a causal dialogue or a heated fight about an issue.
