Dear staff, pupils and parents/carers,

Please find attached important information regarding meningitis.

As you may be aware, there has been a very significant outbreak of invasive meningitis in Kent, and sadly two young people have died. While there are currently no known links to this outbreak within Highland, we wish to take this opportunity to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and to provide guidance on vaccination for anyone who may not be fully up to date with the recommended immunisation schedule.

We encourage all families and school staff to read the attached information carefully and to contact us if you have any concerns.
