Kingussie High School Sources of Support - lots of useful links and information
Kingussie High School held their Prize Giving ceremony on Wednesday 27th June. The evening was hosted by six S1 pupils; Emma Thurlow, Jaiden McCormack, Beth Kelt, Xavi Rodwell, Anna Dallas and Tymon Jawor who all spoke with fantastic confidence.
There were musical performances from Iona Pizarro on the piano, Iona Craig singing and Zoe Allan who played the violin. All three performances were extremely polished and well received by the crowd.
The evening was enjoyed by a large crowd of parents/carers and friends of the school with some having to stand as all seats were taken.
There were a variety of prizes awarded for subject progress and merit prizes in S1-S3, to senior subject prizes and special prizes. Pictured are the winners of the special prizes.
I am very proud of all the award winners who received a prize on Wednesday, all pupils deserve their awards for their hard work. As well as academic success we showed the fantastic opportunities that pupils have at Kingussie High School through a video at the end of the ceremony. Pictured is Mass Jobe at our Sports Day held on Monday 24th June along with our Sports Champions.
It is a tradition at Kingussie High School to play S6 versus staff softball, and I am pleased to announce that the staff team retained their crown as champions again this year. I would like to thank all the brilliant staff who offer so many opportunities which allow pupils to have so many great experiences throughout the year. I would also like to thank all parents/carers and the entire school community for the support you have shown this year, and I wish you all a great summer.
