Post School Pathways Evening Tuesday 5th March 2024

Post School Pathways Evening

A fantastic event for S3 – S6 pupils and parents/carers from Grantown Grammar and Kingussie High to find more about post-school pathways.

Join Developing the Young Workforce and Countryside Learning Scotland on Tuesday 5th March 2024 from 5.30pm – 7.30pm at Macdonald Aviemore Resort Aviemore Resort for a fantastic careers pathways and information evening.

Aimed at Grantown Grammar School Grammar and Kingussie High School High School's S3 – S6 pupils and their parents/carers this will be a great opportunity to find more about post-school pathways from employment and apprenticeships right through to higher education and beyond.

We are excited to be joined by more than 15 businesses/organisations including Frontier Science, The Cairn, Harper Macleod, McGowan Ltd, Environmental Engineering, Cairngorms Connect, University of Highlands and Islands, Lantra Scotland, Macdonald Resort, Vattenfall and Hydrasun. With such a broad range of employers, training providers and education institutions you’ll be able to find out the latest information and opportunities from those in the field and across sectors from STEM to conservation, manufacturing, hospitality, food & drink, further and higher education.

Some local employers have current or upcoming vacancies/training opportunities and will be promoting these on the night too.

Skills Development Scotland’s Careers Advisor, Joan Duncan, will be speaking at the event, hosting a stand, and offering 5-minute introductory careers advice meetings for those looking for more personal early-stage careers support. A sign-up sheet will be available at the welcome station to secure your space.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Macdonald Aviemore Resort who are kindly sponsoring the event by hosting us in the Peregrine Suite.

We hope to see you there!
