Kingussie High School School Improvement Plan 26/27
At KHS, pupils achieve very highly both during the Broad General Education (S1-3) and as they progress through the senior phase (S4-6) of their education. We analyse various data throughout the year but focus particularly on Education Scotland’s ‘insight data.’ Our attainment data is very strong and the main factor for this is through continuous improvement with high quality teaching and learning. To consistently deliver high quality teaching and learning, we must have a learning environment that promotes high standards and positive relationships between staff and pupils, between pupils and between staff. Therefore, this promoting positive relationships policy for KHS is crucial to ensure all our young people continue to do their very best.
Developing positive relationships at all levels within Kingussie High School, with our local community and with all our partners is a top priority for us. We are working hard to include relevant Education Scotland National policies into our daily work to ensure a positive whole-school ethos and culture. Click here to read more about this. As a result of our nurturing philosophy and inclusive approach, we have seen our attainment continue to rise and our temporary exclusion rate drop dramatically in the past four years. Below you can view our positive behaviour management policy. If you would like any further information about how we build positive and nurturing relationships with our pupils, please do not hesitate to contact us!
