Kingussie High School is a school with a welcoming and nurturing approach. We believe in unconditional positive regard where pupils are welcomed into school and classes daily, with each day being a fresh start for all.

Our school values of community, attitude, respect and effort are the expectations for all pupils to strive towards. Positive relationships between staff and pupils is key to engaging pupils and supporting them to achieve their full potential.

KHS is rich with digital technology and each pupil has a 1:1 Google Chromebook which they can use in school or at home. We encourage and support staff and pupils to develop their technology skills but also highly value and acknowledge the importance of writing with pen and paper.

Kingussie High School is an inclusive school where we aim to give all our learners the best possible educational experience. This is done through a creative curriculum model, high quality learning & teaching approaches, strong links with local partners, using the fantastic landscape of the Cairngorms National Park and valuing the KHS skills.

Staff and pupils are encouraged to think creatively and discussions around new ideas and courses are welcomed.
