Description of Licensure Programs
Twenty-Four Credit Hour Program: Students in this licensure program do not hold a teaching license and complete eight courses (24 credit hours) to obtain a Career Technical Workforce Development (CTWD) teaching license. The eight courses can be taken at the undergraduate and graduate level. If one already has a baccalaureate (bachelor’s) degree and does not have a teaching license, they may take the licensure courses at the graduate level. Holders of bachelor’s degrees with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of less than a 3.0 will take the courses at the undergraduate level. Students planning to teach before they complete the licensure courses will need to apply for a two-year initial CTWD license.
