My name is Ms. Parson, and I am the CTE Coordinator at Towpath Trail High School – Main Campus West.

For the past 8 years I have had the pleasure of working with inner city youth and young adults in the Downtown Akron area.

My goal as the CTE Coordinator and Customer Care Instructor is to introduce students into a career pathway that will prepare students with the necessary skills needed to launch a career in retail, increase customer service knowledge, and prepare them for an industry looking for more workers to meet increased consumer demands.

Rise Up: Industry Webinars. These webinars are held on the NRF website athttps://nrffoundation.org/rise-events Every 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 1-1:30 p.m.

Using Padlet to stay connected and as a platform to share additional information.

Google Sites and Classrooms.

This is a great way to keep students engaged in the course during online learning, provide any updates, and introduce new and important course material.

My Top 5 Practices for the Customer Care Pathway Are:

Take the time to learn your students learning style. Not all students or individuals learn the same and for most online learning causes another struggle. Maybe have a introduction exercise where students can express how and maybe even learn how they work and learn best. The exercise can be titled, "How Do You Learn Best?"

This is the online testing site where students can participate in study groups, review, and complete final exams in all (3) career pathways.

There is also additional training materials for the trainer as well.
