This week I want to give you more resources on “metacognition.” These resources are NEW from Kent State University. I got permission to share them with you (and onward). Metacognition is getting our students to think about their own thinking. Do your students know why they struggle? Do they know how to study and what works best for them? Do they know how to synthesize information and make it meaningful? Are WE building in metacognition prompts to help our students overcome barriers to learning?
WOW! That’s a lot, but this concept can radically change how you approach your lesson delivery and assessment,.
