Can We Persuade You Not to Eat Us for Thanksgiving? Our 4th graders combined creativity and critical thinking in this year’s Turkey in Disguise project. Students designed clever disguises for their turkeys through art, then crafted persuasive essays arguing why their turkey shouldn’t be eaten. This project integrates AVID strategies by encouraging writing to learn, planning, and reflection, while giving students a chance to express their voice, showcase their ideas, and connect creativity with persuasive communication
