Program: Screen recording in Chromebook & iPad
Process:
The screen recording was done on Chromebook and the iPad. I used the Chromebook feature of screen recording, went to settings and turned on the mic to record the entire screen. During class we learned how to add images with Creative Commons License. So I followed the same format to explain how to add images both on Chromebook and the iPad. On the iPad the browser looks different. Since we are VILS, all our students have iPads. On the iPad, I had to include Screen recording in the Control Center and then record it.
On completing this, the videos were added to the Google Classroom. The definition and the main title page was created using Canva with a voice over. Later on both the videos and the Canva video was added to the Video editor on Photos app in the school computer, added title pages. Then it was downloaded as one video file. Later it was added by my teacher on to YouTube.

During school, a Middle School Digital Innovation Coach, Ms. Shory, visited our class and taught us how to use Google Sheets for translation word for word. She provided a sample Google Sheet and taught us how to add the formula. This included the command of Google Translate. In each cell this formula is added, especially in the first line =Google Translate(A2,"en", "es")
The A2 stands for the intersection of Column (A) and row 2. "en" stands for English word, "es" for Spanish. The google language codes were from this website. You can do a google search to get to this website too. After the first line is entered correctly, it is easy to pull down the blue square in the corner of the cell, and the formula applies itself to all the cells. The cells may show 'ERROR'. That is because the column with the English word has not been entered. Once you add the English words, all the other cells get translated.
After the video was completed, it was added to the Video Editor on the Photos app for a title slide, then downloaded and my teacher added it to YouTube.
