The first step we had to do to make this animation is we added the board and all the pieces to the slides. We did this by using a pre-made board and pieces. The board and pieces were made by Eric Curts, in Google Drawings. Our STLP Coach got approval from Eric Curts @ericcurts to make changes and use the chessboard. But we placed the chessboard in Google Slides to give an animation effect. As we set up the board, each movement was added to a separate slide. Then we added all the pieces one by one until they were all on the board. Then we played a regular game with every move in a separate slide. We created the animation slides as separate files and then combine them together. Once all the slides were made, we published them. Go to FILE - Publish to the web. We had to change the settings
Start slideshow as soon as the player loads
Restart the slideshow after the last slide

We created this to do a fundraiser for our STLP Project on providing clean drinking water to people in Haiti. We are working with a local organization called Water with Blessings.
The following items were printed to be used with the Animation
The characters were created on StoryboardThat.
Took pictures of the bucket and filter.
Printed images with Creative Commons License for the dollars & coins.
We used the STOPMOTION PRO version on an iPad to create this animation. Our STLP coach had a Stop Motion Stand where we place the iPad, had one more external light, and a poster board for the pictures to move. We took pictures of every small movement of the images. The background artwork was created by a student from the Advanced Art class. We took about 490 pictures to complete the stop motion. Sometimes we made mistakes and so we had to go and place the items in the correct place. This is possible because of a feature in Stop motion called onion skin. This helps us with every small movement.
Once the pictures were completed, we added the title slide, music, and credits to complete the entire video. The music was from the Stop Motion App - Our Story Begins. Our teacher added it to YouTube to make the video easily accessible. This video was also used to raise funds for our STLP project.
