PROCESS:
Ironically I sketched several deer skulls during Art class for a free draw day. Then, we had to come up with a design based on a specific Art period in history. I realized my cow skull with flowers could represent Georgia O’Keefe and Modernism, an artist I did not even know about when I first drew the image! I just love bones with flowers, so I enjoyed drawing them. I used Procreate to make the image.
I designed my “Egyptian Art” logo using ibis paint. I thought the eye was the most fascinating Egyptian symbol, I kept seeing it in my research so I drew one for the art project. I chose the Egyptian Art period because I love the design motifs, colors and textures of Egypt. This includes rich black, golden sands, and deep red, green, and blue shades. I just simply used the drawing and gradation tools in ibis to create my logo. I sketched in the text with my stylus in cursive handwriting.
