My mom added all the videos to my Google Drive. I was able to download all the videos to my computer in school and then add them to the Video Editor in Photos App. I organized them based on the early stages of Sophie's riding lessons to the most recent. Then I added the Title Cards and named them. I selected the theme of the Title Cards. Later I added the background music from within the Video Editor. Once I added everything, I downloaded the video and added it to my Google Classroom.
I wanted to do a documentary with my grandparents but with COVID and other restrictions, I could not get it done. So I did it with my mom who was born in Cuba. We used the school-issued VILS iPad to record the video and audio. The VILS iPad is a 7th generation iPad. My teacher gave me a mic that can be used to record on the iPad. This has two mics with one cable connected to the iPad. My sister, Stephanie took the video while I asked my mom, questions. Before doing this interview, I wrote down all the questions and shared it with my teacher. Some of the questions were a result of a Hispanic Heritage Unit that we did in our class. This is almost a 10-minute video. She talks about her life in Cuba, children, struggles, and language but also shares a little bit of the political situation.
Once the video was taken, it was uploaded to the drive and also added to the classroom. This was added to the Photos App - Video Editor on the computer and made into a movie with title cards and text. Later it was downloaded and added to the classroom.
