Kindergarten registration is underway in Jackson County! If your student does not currently attend Pre-K inside a JCSS elementary school, register him or her for the 2024-25 school year! Visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/registration to apply! Once a Kindergarten application is complete, you will be notified for your student to partake in Kindergarten Round Up at the Empower College and Career Center!
Hello Parents,
I want to extend a huge thank you for your incredible support during our recent Boosterthon fundraiser. Your participation and dedication truly make a difference in our school community, and we are so grateful for your involvement.
As we continue to strengthen our school-home connections, I also want to express my appreciation for the valuable time that is shared during our parent-teacher conferences. Your partnership is invaluable in supporting your child's educational journey.
I'm excited to share that we had a special WOW event featuring a magician who focused his lesson on kindness. Our students have been earning DOJO points for their positive behavior, which they can use for various rewards and experiences within the school, like lunch with a friend or basketball with an administrator, or students can save points up for a WOW event. This is just one type of award and recognition for our students. This system allows us to recognize and celebrate their achievements in a fun and engaging way.
Literacy Unlocked
As the weather warms up, take reading outside! Let your child grab their books or notebooks and take them outside for a little outdoor reading or writing. Take your child on a reading nature walk, looking for items that start with letters of the alphabet or a Five Senses Nature Walk. Interested in challenging your child, have them complete this 2o Book Challenge.
Upcoming Events
The framed art show is next Thursday in the gym from 5-7! The presale starts TODAY! Mrs. Mitchell is asking for you to order EARLY. If you know you’re going to take the frame home the night of the show ORDER NOW! You will have a different checkout line and it will consist of a volunteer checking for a marked sticker. It’s the less stressful way!

It is VERY IMPORTANT for all families to set up an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. Click HERE to set up your child's account. This account allows you to receive important school messages through the Remind app, see student grades and attendance. If you have trouble with this process, email Mrs. West (rebecca.west@jcss.us). After a parent portal account has been activated, please allow 24 hours for the information to sync with the Remind app to be able to message teachers. If you are unable to use Remind at any time, please send your child's teacher an email.
