We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we look forward to a festive month of fun and learning as we head into December! We are proud of our students and how they are working together to go after challenging goals and make a difference in our Panther Community!

Assessment
Jackson County students take the MAP assessment three times a year. This assessment provides detailed information about what students know and monitors growth from fall, winter to spring. Students in grades K-5 will be taking the reading, writing and math MAP before they leave for winter break. Parents will receive a MAP report for their child in mid January.

Just in time information
Pre-Kindergarten lottery registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open. Families can register for the lottery through Friday, February 16. Please note this application does not guarantee admission into a Pre-K program inside the Jackson County School System, but is rather an application into the lottery. JCSS will hold a lottery drawing in March and families will be notified following the drawing. To register, please visit Jackson County Registration. For questions or concerns, please email central_registration@jcss.us.
It is VERY IMPORTANT for all families to set up an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. Click HERE to set up your child's account. This account allows you to receive important school messages through the Remind app, see student grades and attendance. If you have trouble with this process, email Mrs. West (rebecca.west@jcss.us). After a parent portal account has been activated, please allow 24 hours for the information to sync with the Remind app to be able to message teachers. If you are unable to use Remind at any time, please send your child's teacher an email.
