There are several ways to intervene, remediate, and help students learn or relearn important concepts which they may have missed. Take the following ideas into consideration:
Go over errors or mistakes individually with students. Analyze and potentially conference with students so that they can explain their reasoning and you can reteach as necessary or provide extra support.
Prepare, when you can, extra activities for practice which you can assign only to students who you know need that extra support or open as 'optional practice' to students. When possible - make that extra support enjoyable by building a game around it with something like Quiziz, Kahoot!, or Quizlet.
Consider allowing students to take assessments multiple times or redo their previous work to prove their understanding.
Set up office hours or allow students to schedule one-on-one office hours with you for help using a tool such as Calendly when working online.

There are several ways to accelerate students as they demonstrate mastery of content and skills. When possible, plan with acceleration in mind. Take the following ideas in to consideration:
First, consider this ASCD resource, Acceleration: Jumpstarting Students Who Are Behind as a resource.
Preview lessons to come in your formative assessments to familiarize students with language, terms, or ideas in future lessons or to assess whether they will be able to move over the lesson and into the subsequent one.
When you are confident that a student has demonstrated mastery of a standard, skill, or concept, how can you move the student into the next standard, skill, or concept in the progression? What must the student know or be able to do to meet the next standard? When you plan, gather tools, resources, and ideas which might be used to assist in acceleration of students who show mastery.
