Class of 2025
Resource of the Week
Information session: five dos and don'ts of US/UK university admissions
Format: one-hour Zoom session for a small group of families:
--Main features of the US/UK university landscape: the academic and admissions model in each country, what distinguishes successful applicants, and a few important recent developments (e.g., optional SAT/ACT). Plus an introduction to other countries' universities (e.g., the Netherlands, Canada) if there's interest.
--Q&A (bring your questions!)
Who it's for: Parents of high school students in 11th grade / junior year / lower Sixth or earlier (i.e. finishing school in 2025, 2026, or 2027).
--Students are welcome to join but be aware that we'll touch on tuition costs (which can be high, though not everywhere/for everyone) and admissions rates (which can be low, though not at all good colleges). These numbers can be off-putting for some younger students, and that's why the session is pitched mostly at parents.
--Students in their final year (finishing school in 2024) are welcome to get in touch with me separately, as individual guidance is generally more useful in the run-up to applications.
Fill out this survey and you will be sent a link.
Possible dates and times:
Mon Nov 20, 5:00p UK / 11:00a NY / 10:30p India
Weds Nov 22, 2:00p UK / 9:00a NY / 7:30p India
