Resource of the Week
Research Universities Database
This database is full of up-to-date websites that can help you start your research into universities from over 15 countries. Most of them are search engines where you put in a major or course you want to study as well as other things you are looking for in a university and it will provide you with a starting list of universities you can then begin to research deeper.
I use this all the time when researching universties because it contains the best and most up to date tools that help to speed up the process.

SAT
Did you know that the SAT test is now all digital? Did you also know that for current juniors, many universities that have required the SAT in the past, will not require it for you? To see the latest on which universities are test optional, click here.
I would advise students who plan to apply to universities in the USA still take the SAT, just in case you eventually apply to a university that requires SAT scores. For juniors, you should take the test once or twice your junior year and possibly a third time your senior year.
Students can register now for the digital SAT.
Test Dates Registration Deadlines*
March 11, 2023 February 24, 2023
May 6, 2023 April 21, 2023
June 3, 2023 May 19, 2023
*Students who need to borrow a device for testing will need to register no later than 30 days before test day.
The earlier students download our digital testing app, Bluebook™, the more time they’ll have to prepare by taking a full-length practice test and studying with Official Digital SAT Prep on Khan Academy®. Remind your students that once they register, they’ll need to take these steps to get ready for test day.

Meek Community Service and Leadership Scholarship worth $10,000 per year (or $40,000 over the course of four years) rewards two incoming, first-year students each year who exhibit outstanding participation in community service and strong leadership skills. Students who receive this scholarship are expected to maintain their high standards of service and continue to lead within the Ohio Wesleyan community.
