Laboratory Description
The Thermal Analyses Laboratory of the Materials Engineering Section at IME has the mission of performing materials characterization, through thermal analysis techniques, to obtain viscoelastic parameters, transition temperatures, reaction kinetics, loss and storage moduli, among other thermal parameters. The current infrastructure includes a Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA), as well as benches for sample preparation.
Differential Scanning Calorimeter, model DSC 404 F1 Pegasus, Netzsch.
Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer, model DMA 850, TA Instruments.
