For the accreditation or de-accreditation of faculty members, the Board must issue its opinion in a meeting, considering that faculty members to be accredited by the PPGCEM must meet the criteria established in Article 3 of Ordinance No. 81/CAPES, dated June 3, 2016, namely:

I - development of teaching activities in graduate/undergraduate programs;

II - participation in research projects within the PPGCEM;

III - mentoring of master's/doctoral students in the PPGCEM;

IV - functional-administrative affiliation with the institution or, exceptionally: faculty or researcher retention scholarship holder from federal or state funding agencies; when, as a retired professor or researcher, they have signed a commitment with the institution to participate as a faculty member of the PPG; when they have been assigned, by formal agreement, to serve as a faculty member of the PPG.

For the accreditation or de-accreditation of teachers, productivity will be analyzed in terms of qualified bibliographic production, projects and teacher guidance.
