Laboratory Description
The Computational Analyses Laboratory of the Materials Engineering Section at IME has the mission of performing computational simulations by means of explicit analysis software (ANSYS), for the determination of constitutive models and failure modes for advanced materials. Thereby enabling the reduction of experimental cost in the characterization of materials for military use, especially in ballistic impact modeling. The current infrastructure includes high-capacity workstations, as well as an integrated 3D printer, enabling research and teaching in the theme of CAD and computational simulation, applied to the Defense Industry.
Laboratory of Computational Analyses
Workstation AMD Razor CHIPSET AMD B550
Laboratory Infrastructure
7 AMD Razor workstations with AMD B550 chipset for high-performance processing;
