Festivities

Thanksgiving day is one of the most important festivities in the USA. It is always on the fourth Thursday of November, it is in November because the first thanksgiving feast was to celebrate a good harvest. Thanksgiving goes back to the early settlers in America, the pilgrim fathers. They came from England on a ship called the Mayflower in the 17th century. Life was very hard in Aamerica and during the first winter, over half of them died.
