Ireland is a very young country, but its population isn't very big: it exceeds 4 million inhabitants, with an average density among the lowest in Europe. Ireland has the youngest population in Europe with over 40% in habitants under the age of 25. It has also more Science and Technology graduates than most other European countries. Irish people have a reputation for hospitality, friendliness and conversation - summed up by the word “craic”. Most of the population is concentrated especially in the vast metropolitan area surrounding Dublin.
Dublin, the capital, which stands on the mouth of the river Liffey, is the center of social, political and cultural life of Ireland. Dublin is a beautiful and friendly city, full of young people.
Cork is home to several industries and a commercial carrier port.
