The United Kingdom is located off the western coast of northern Europe.

The most important rivers are the Thames and the Severn. Many lakes are found in Northern Ireland, north-west England and especially Scotland. The two largest lakes are located in Northern Ireland, they are Lough Neagh and Lough Erne.

As to the mountains there are the Cambrian mountains, the Pennine mountains, the Southern Uplands, the North West Highlands and the Grampian mountains.
