THE GREAT BARRIER REEF
Located off the coast of Queensland in northeastern Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest living organism on Earth. The ecosystem reaches 2300 km in long and includes thousands of coral reefs and hundreds of islands. The reef is home to countless species of colorful fish, clams and starfish, as well as turtles, dolphins and sharks.

The Gold Coast is a metropolitan region south of Brisbane on Australia's east coast. It is famous for long sandy beaches and surfing. The city is also home to theme parks such as Dreamworld, Seaworld and Wet'n'Wild. Inland, the hiking trails cross the mountain ranges and valleys of Lamington National Park, where rare birds are found.
