Lesson 7 (Sept. 2): Presentations, individual meetings

• Japanese traditional musical genre presentations

  • some of you are online but you should be able to present your own section via zoom or other methods as well

• Individual meeting: experimenting music as a performer (1st official interaction)

  • within the 2-year programme, you are required to have three official interactions with the teacher

  • go over the guide again with students

  • the first one would be mainly on the performer side of the experimental part, but I will also ask you about the creator side informally (no need to prepare anything on this part)

• Research on musical genres that considered to be categorized under Western Arts Music while you're waiting for turn

  • Timeline can be start from Middle Ages and/or Renaissance to 20th Century and/or Modern

  • Use search engines (e.g. Google, Yahoo!, etc.) online and try to find them!
