Professional Values and Behaviours
at Pembroke Dock Community School
Professional values and a professional commitment are at the core of the Professional Standards.
The educational experiences of learners are shaped by the values and dispositions of those who work to educate them. A commitment to the values underpin the range of relationships, the thinking and professional practice of teachers in Pembroke Dock Community School.
Children’s Rights are a core value of the school and we empower and strengthen children’s voice and choice through the UN Convention on the Right’s of the Child and as a Gold Right’s Respecting School.
The values are demonstrated through professional relationships and practices. There is a moral imperative that the values are enacted in everyday practice within and beyond the school context.
In an ever-changing and challenging world it is teacher professionalism that is firmly rooted in a set of shared professional values which helps the young people of today become the thinking and responsible citizen of tomorrow.
