Using Canva, I created a slideshow of my trip to Trail Hero in Hurricane, Utah because Trail Hero is a unique event that I got the chance to attend. Trail Hero is a 5 day event with guided trail runs,concerts, vendor show, off-roading competitions and so many other events.

During this process, I learned how to upload my own pictures. I looked at the options for uploading pictures and I choose google drive. I imported my photos into my google drive so I could use them on Canva.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to an Innovative Designer because I designed an online poster with Canva, and I added pictures,titles and other details. This project used my creative design thinking to create my project.

A challenge I overcame on this project was using Canva. I was able to do it by experimenting with the website and using YouTube. I've used Canva before but I didn't know how to use the website well. The more I used it, the more familiar I got with the website. Whenever I had a specific problem I used google and YouTube to find videos to explain.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the format so I could add more pictures. The reason why I would change it is because I have so many videos and pictures I wanted to add. Adding more pictures and videos would add more detail to the video.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in photography, graphic design, and animation. 92% of all jobs require digital skills.
