Task 5 - Independent project
Using a Sphero Bolt robot, iPad, and coding website, I coded the Sphero Bolt to read my name. The Spehero Bolt also went in a star shape because I wanted to use the Sphero Bolt more. I wanted to use the Sphero Bolt more because the robot is capable of more things than the Sphero Mini.
During this process, I learned how to code robots to do different activity's . I looked at others' websites and their codes. I also looked on Youtube for tutorials.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computational thinker because I had to code robots for each challenge I had little to no knowledge on coding and I've been able to learn a lot more so I can use it for my project . I also used my prior knowledge.
A challenge I overcame on this project was knowing how to use codes correctly. I was able to do it by watching videos and asking others for advice. I also looked at others' websites to get extra inspiration and help.
Given a chance to do this again, I would add more to my project. The reason why I would change it is because my project was short and not challenging . I would like to experiment with color, different codes and Bluetooth.
