My Movie 8.movMy Movie 7.movUsing the Lectec scateboard kit, I created a electric skateboard. I did this because I love to follow instructions to biuld cool progects that I can interact with. Also, Mr. Renner literally told me to do it and who am I to argue with him?
During this process, I learned how to ride an electric skateboard. That was my first time on one. I figured out that you have to lean forwad so it doesn't make obnoctious noises and disrupet peoples presious learning time. Also I got to work on my balance because I wasn't that good with the controler yet. I didn't fall off. Ever.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I put this all on this wesite that can be veiwed by the world, didn't I? My project also ties to Computational Thinker because I never gave up even when I thought It could never happen.
A challenge I overcame on this project was dealing with a time crunch. I only had one day to take the whole skateboard apart. I was able to do it bystaying focused and asking for help when i needed it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change not taking enough pictures. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like i would have a lot of fun making my own set of instructions for people to use that might be easier to understand. I found certian points of the progect a little tricky and hard to follow. I would like to make it easyier of the next person who is doing it.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It Ties to this because I makde the skateboard.
My project connects to careers in skatebaord manufacturing. This is because I made the skatboard. The skateboard manufactuers make skatboards, don't they?
