Mr. Renners playing cristmas music. It's September 10th! Also made sloe things to turn into buttons.
Hi. We finished early today so this will be one of those long logs that nowone actually wants to read. I waited for Aubery to finish what she was doing the whole time and now I'm here. I'd honastally would be really shocked if anyone reguarly reads about my website besides Mr. Renner obiousally. I maen, I do have to turn it in to him so he probably reads it. Well, I hope he does. Well, if what I'm talking about is true, the one that is looking at this right now is probably either me or Mr.Renner. I've still got at least 10 minutes and I don't think you want to lisen to this anymore so I'll go annoy Aubery. See ya!
WE CAN'T GET THE BUTTONS TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, we figured out our problem. We had to big peices of paper. Now I have a lot of buttons.
I made a video of the buttons I made! (Well, only the ones I liked.)
Working on the questions.
Using the button maker, some paper and my highlighters, I created some pins. I thought I would have fun trying somthing new and learning all of the in's and out's of the macheine. Although I did learn a lot about the machine, I feel like there is a lot more I could have figured out if I had the time. I am very happy with the result of all the buttons and would gladly do this again.
During this process, I learned that somtimes, even when thing arern't working, you just have to keep trying. There were a lot of challenges during this progect and we were the only ones doing it so it was hard to find a way to get help when somthing went wrong. We just had to work together and keep perservering. If we didn't, I don't think we would have been able to make all of the buttons we did.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I am showing everyone around the world what I have created. My progect also ties to Computational Thinker because I did not give up when we had a problem. Instead we kept testing new ideas until we got it right.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the pins to acrually stay togather. The buttons wern't actually comming together and kept seperating and tthe pin bit wouldn't even kind of come on. There were many fails in this prosess but we eventually figured out that cutting the edges of the paper would make it fit in the press better.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how colorless most of the buttons were. We ended up only figuing out how to properly use it 2 days before we had to turn it in so we spent a day making a whole bunch of buttons and then calling it good. We were in a rush to get it done so some of the buttons didn't look as good as we wanted them to.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. The page on Mr. Renner's website is still down so don't try and look at it.
My project connects to careers in pin desinging because I was literally making pins. I don't really know how to expain this on besides a pin designer makes pins. They probably make a lot better looking pins than I do.
