Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Micro-Bit, Computer.
What is your plan to create in this project?
Winking/Talking face
What unique qualities will your project have?
My progect will make the micro-bit look alive.
Looking at other progects! (You should totally go check out Lenna's website! It's in Fall 2024 1st hour.)😜
I'm struggling. Appaerntally my batteries dont work so I have to wait for Mr.Renner to finish fixing a battery pack.
Ok it's later it still isn't working, even with good batteries.😡
It finally worked!!!!😄
Sooo Much!😬
OVERLODE!!!!!🥵
🥵😫
I created multiple codes for my micro:bit using my computer, including one with a scared emoji (😨) to represent free fall, since you’re not supposed to drop a micro:bit. Also, I created a squirrle jumping out of a tree. Both were good codes, but niether could compare to my firework code. It was my longest code by far! If I had more time, I would try to make an even longer code.
During this process, I learned all lot about how to code things better. For example one time in 2nd grade, I made a code where people hanged out around a pot and the pot made poping noises but a couple days ago, I made a timer! I mean you probably think well that's not to impressive, you were only 8. Well, I could have made the same thing this year and not improved.🙄 Hey, you can think what you want and I can think what I want. Deal?
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I didn't know how do do it at first. As I said in classroom standerds, a Knowledge Constructor is when students critically curate lots of suppilse using digital tools to make knowledge creative artifacts and meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others people to Students will plan and employ successful research strategies to find information and other resources for their intellectual or creative plans. They will also estimate the accuracy, perspective, reliability and relevance of information, media, data or other resources. Also they, curate facts from on-line resources using many different tools and tecnices to create groups of artifacts that show significant connections or conclusions. Finally thy will, construct knowledge by actively exploring issues and problems from our world, making ideas and hypothisuses, and following answers to there problems.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to figure out how to make a event go on once at a time. I was able to do it by looking through all the blocks I could use, and picking out the best options for my problem and I found out that if you ues the repeat block and change how many times to do it to 1, it does a lot better at doing one code at a time. Also, I found that using the forever block, it seperates up the code so it cand do the other code also. I solved that by simply just taking out the forever block and replacing it with an on start block.😉
Given a chance to do this again, I would change which movments did what. The reason why I would change it is because I want some of my better codes to be acsesed easir. For example, I find it hard to get to my Rock, Paper, Scissors code. You have to face the logo down to get to it. HOW DOES IT EVEN KNOW THAT THE LOGO IS DOWN!?!?!?!? Anyways, I still had fun (sort of).
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. I know this because it says programer right there.😑If I was'nt sure though, I would go to Mr.Renner, you'll find the spot that says Inovation and Design. Hover over that and it will give you the options of: class standerds, CTE descriptions, Classroom Equipment help, and Project Grading & Exectations Help. Click on CTE descriptions and then scrool down to Computer Programming. If your lazy, just go down to the link below. Then you'll see all of the evedance.
My project connects to careers in data scienest because they analyze and interpret data to help businesses make decisions. They use skills, including programming, statistics, and communication. Data scientists work in a variety of industries, including healthcare, retail, finance, and automotive. Data scientists need to be able to find, clean, and organize large amounts of data. They also need to be able to work with business stakeholders to understand their goals.
