Day 1: Today I worked on the first part of my partner's bucket hat with her and showed my partner how to use the sewing machine.

Day 2: Today I continued to work on the bucket hat with my partner

Day 3: today I did the same as yesterday

Day 4: Today I  helped my partner finish up theirs while I finished my own

Day 5: Today I  worked on my bucket hat with my partner

Day 6: Today I continued working on my bucket hat. When I was making my second hat I realized I had cut out and sewed on the  wrong pattern out for the second part of the hat. so I had to improvise and just make a hat out of the first part.

What are some unique qualities?

One unique quality this project will have is custom designs. We went out to the store and chose the fabrics we wanted over the weekend before we started working on the project.  Another unique quality this will hold is it's durability.

Reflection

• Using a sewing machine, thread, fabric, and scissors, I created  a bucket hat with my partner because I wanted to try to broaden my knowledge on making accessories.

• During this process, one thing I learned while making the bucket hat is that it is okay to make mistakes. Even though they may cost you time, mistkes are very good when it comes to learning new things.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I'm using any and all previous knowledge of sewing and building off of it .

• A challenge I overcame on this project was cutting and sewing out the wrong fabric peice onto one part of the bucke that. I was able to do it by perserveering and making it look like the bucket hat was fully made rather than having it done but not able to properly function. or look right

• Given a chance to do this again, I would pay make sure and dubble check every peice before I cut and sew it. The reason why I would change it is because by not doing that last time it caused me to have to not use the second part of the bucket hat wich is more of an important part

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in fashion designing.
