Planning Questions

Will I work in a team for this project? 

For this is project, I plan to work with my previous partner Esther 

What unique qualities will this project have?

One unique quality this project has is a custom made design.

What do we plan to create?

We plan to finish up our embroidery project from 8P2&3

What materials will I need?

For this project, I will  need  a sewing machine, embroidery machine, embroidery thread, extra embroidery machine needles, a usb stick, and pre-made embroidery designs.

Daily log

Day 1: Today we worked on what were going to do, our websites, and a little of the actual project

Day 2: Today we worked on sewing my partner's bandana. we couldn't find the second piece of fabric so we improvised and sewed it into a triangle. 

Day 3: Today we finished the sewing part of the bandana and we thought about what to do for 8p7

Day 4: Today we considered what should be done to have everything be done in a timely manner to be able to have my partner start on their half of 8P7 while I finish up my part of 8P6.

Day 5: Today I pinned the fabric, made sure it was lined up correctly, and sewed the base. Just for tidiness, I flat Ironed the bandana and then I added a topstitch.

Day 6: Today I finished my website and started 8P7 with my partner.

Reflection

• Using scissors, thread, fabric, iron, an embroidery machine, and a sewing machine, I created a Custom bandana for my dog because We thought it would be a great project and it is something that can be used again and again.

• During this process, I learned that you should make sure you do things right the first time and recheck your work. I made this mistake many times and it caused me to be less efficient with my work.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computual thinker because I considered and thought of solutions and jest went in for it.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was getting things done quickly. I was able to do it by having lots of time and spending time working during lunch and advisory to make sure things can get done.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the pattern. The reason why I would change it is because when I embroidered it the pattern didn't quite print out completely. 

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in custom printing.
