While working by myself, I plan to work with robots and have fun driving/coding them. What I will need for this project is an iPad, sphero mini, and a bb8 robot. One quality the project will have is well working apps that are not difficult to use within a few minunites of using them. Another quality is robots that are easy to use and in good condition.
With a robot and an iPad, I made a robot do many tricks for the project. I did this because it never hurts to experiment with new materials. While doing this project, I learned how to calibrate a sphero mini on 2 different apps. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I had no trouble of thinking about what to do with the robots on all four days. One challenge I overcame while doing this was being patient with the robots while they disconnected. I overcame this by staying closer to the robots while driving them instead of driving one across the room. If I got to do this again, I would try using one of the sphero bolts. I would do this because I didn't try to use one and Its good to try as many new things as possible. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in stunt driving because I did a lot of "stunts" with the robots.
