Planning Questions

Using just me, a computer, a micro bit and a coding website, I plan to start out by creating a sliding name. Then, I plan to create an electronic Gordon Ramsey. Some unique qualities My project will have include: Gordon yelling, a frown face when angry, Gordon phrases, cooking lessons, and Gordon complimenting you.

Reflection

•  With a Micro bit, computer, and my brain I managed to turn a Micro bit into a portable Gordon Ramsay. I did this because I felt why not make a Gordon Ramsay for the fun of the end product.

• while creating the mini Gordon, I learned that it is ok to make mistakes and to ask for help if google cannot provide an answer.

•  The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator.  My creation connects to  Knowledge constructor because I asked for help and used resources instead of doing nothing about it and giving up.

•  If I had the chance to do this activity again, I would fix the command sensitivity and spend more time on the project so it can be more advanced than it currently is.

• One challenge I Overcame was getting the audio imported onto my laptop to be edited. I found a way around this by using local resources (google, asking friends, using my brain, etc.) 

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offer Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. I feel that my project ties to Computer Programming. I think this because I had to program a device to do certain commands when directed to.  My project connects to careers in sound engineering because I had to find ways to import audio files onto an iPod and edit the audio to be put on a micro bit. ( I didn't get to put it in the coding program to be put on a micro bit.
