Stack the Hats Game
Cut out the pedlar and the caps (you may want to glue the pieces to cardstock)
Here are two ways to use the cutouts:
1 Counting: Children can roll a die (or use a spinner) and place the correct number of hats on the pedlar’s head.
2 Patterns: Children can create patterns as they stack the hats on the pedlar’s head.

Pedlars’ actions:

Call, ‘Caps! Caps for sale! Fifty cents a cap!
Look to the right, left, back, and up

Shake your finger,
Stomp your feet,
Say “tsz, tsz, tsz,”
